Later, the high school merged into nearby Marshall High School. It then became Marshall University High School.

The Old Campus Historic District includes Peik Hall. This district features the oldest surviving buildings on the Twin Cities campus. These eleven structures arose between 1886 and 1907. Cyrus Northrop, the University’s second president, directed their construction. The buildings represent diverse architectural styles. They housed different departments, offices, and organizations. Sadly, the Student Christian Association Building and Westbrook Hall, once part of the district, were demolished in 2010 and 2011.

Peik Hall itself was built in 1951. It is a four-story building. Its roof is flat. The University of Minnesota operates Peik Hall.
