Considering a wild escape? Playa de Jarugo is your answer. This hidden gem resides near the quiet village of Tindaya.

Playa de Jarugo offers a raw and wild beauty. It’s a stark contrast to the bustling tourist spots. This beach is more than just sand and sea. It’s an experience.

Imagine fine golden sands under your feet. Majestic cliffs tower on either side. The sea’s strong currents create a sense of untamed power. Swimming can be risky. Yet, the beach holds a unique allure.

Playa de Jarugo is on Fuerteventura’s west coast. This location adds to its remote appeal. The easiest way to reach it is via a dirt road. This road meanders from either Tindaya or Los Molinos. Keep an eye out, because it is hard to find.

Once you enter Tindaya you must pass through the central square and turn right on the first curve. You will reach a point where you may get mixed up easily, so make sure that you take the left cross that leads you to a series of streets. At the end of this path among the small streets of Tindaya you will see just one pavement that you will have to take to get out of there. Following that route to the end you will run into a crossroad. Turn right and stay on that way for 5 kilometres until you can see the sea. After that, turn left and continue for 3 kilometres.

Playa de Jarugo stretches 260 meters long and 60 meters wide. It remains one of Fuerteventura’s most secluded spots. Even in summer, you will find minimal crowds here.

The sea is often rough. However, conditions are sometimes ideal for surfing. The left end of the beach features a natural dam. It acts as a breakwater. Beyond it lie secluded coves perfect for relaxation. On the right, admire the stratified cliff.

Fancy a refreshment? The village of Tindaya is nearby. There you can find the Los Podomorfos restaurant.

Playa de Jarugo is not just a beach. It is an invitation to connect with nature. Its untouched landscape offers peace and solitude. The beach’s wild beauty is a reminder of nature’s power.

So, seek out Playa de Jarugo. Embrace its raw charm. Discover a hidden paradise away from the crowds. Experience Fuerteventura’s wild side.
