Soaring before you stand the Three Elements. These aren’t just sculptures. They are monumental bronze columns reaching for the Monegasque sky.

Prince Albert II himself inaugurated this breathtaking artwork on June 3 2023. The Three Elements are part of Monaco’s growing collection of public art. They stand proudly on Mareterra a new extension into the sea.

Created by the talented Varois artist Bernard Bezzina the sculptures are more than just metal. Each one evokes a cypress tree a symbol of hospitality and eternity. Think of the thousands of cedar leaves painstakingly used in their creation. It took nearly 18 years to bring this vision to life.

Imagine the dedication. Bezzina’s work is now part of the Prince’s collection. The Prince followed its creation for years. The sculptures were cast in an atelier in Pietrasanta Tuscany. The process was complex. The final result is stunning.

The Three Elements are not simply beautiful. They are powerful. They represent the three elements: water earth and air. Their uneven peaks their height 10 12 and 15 meters high convey strength and fragility. They perfectly mirror the location. The sea the land the air all merge at this spot.

The Three Elements is a symbol. It’s a symbol of Monaco’s artistic ambition. It’s a testament to Bezzina’s skill and dedication. It’s a reminder that even from seemingly simple materials something breathtaking can emerge. It’s a lasting contribution to Monaco’s cultural landscape. Enjoy this magnificent spectacle of art.
