By 2007, it had reached a milestone. Its 28th store opened on Avenida General Polidoro, marking its first venture into Rio’s South Zone. The 29th Prezunic Supermercados followed shortly after, finding its home in a Guadalupe shopping center. Prezunic Supermercados wasn’t just growing; it was thriving. The Great Place to Work Institute recognized it as one of Brazil’s top 100 companies to work for. In 2011, Prezunic Supermercados joined the Cencosud family, a Chilean retail giant. This move solidified Prezunic’s position in the Carioca market. Even in recent years, Prezunic Supermercados has continued to expand, adding a new location in Maricá in 2023.
