Standing here before Northplace Church, it’s hard to believe its humble beginnings. Imagine a small prayer group in 1921, meeting in local homes, yearning to share their faith. Northplace Church, previously known as the Sachse Assembly of God, grew from those intimate gatherings. They rented an abandoned bank, marking their first permanent space.
The church moved to a new location in 1926, near the Caboose on Highway 78, where it remained for many years. In 2016, Northplace sold the land to Chase Oaks Church and relocated to its current location. Although COVID-19 delayed their 100th anniversary celebration, they still honored their rich history in their 101st year.
During their anniversary, Northplace Church highlighted their core values: Christ, community, and compassion. The spirit of those early days of prayer still resonates here. Northplace Church stands as a testament to faith, resilience, and the power of community.
