A granite plaque stands in Csurgó. This is his birthplace. It was erected on the 30th anniversary of his death.

Dr. Macskásy Árpád’s legacy extends beyond plaques. A bust of him stands in the garden of the Budapest University of Technology. This is near the “T” building. This bust was erected in 2000. It was re-inaugurated in 2004. This marked the 100th anniversary of his birth. His final resting place is in Farkasréti Cemetery.

His work touched many aspects of building technology. This includes heating technology. It also includes ventilation and air conditioning. He systematized these fields in Hungary. Macskásy created curricula and solved numerous engineering problems.
