The ride vehicles themselves ascend to a dizzying 250 feet, leaving the top 75 feet for the structure and a prominent American flag. Superman: Tower of Power utilizes compressed air to propel riders upwards at a breathtaking speed, then swiftly drops them back down, creating a thrilling sensation of weightlessness. This innovative technology combines the “Space Shot” and “Turbo Drop” mechanisms, launching riders upwards before bouncing them and then culminating in a final freefall.
