Santa Margalida celebrates La Beata. It is a unique fiesta on September third. It celebrates Catalina Thomas’ transition to womanhood. Demons smash jars at the feet of the blessed. A colossal bonfire and fireworks display add to the fun.

About 5km outside Santa Margalida is S’Albufera Natural Park. These wetlands attract walkers bird watchers and cyclists. The park has been protected since 1985.

Inside, the church has a single nave and six side chapels. The Gothic altarpiece of St. Margaret dates back to the 14th century.
