Chicago in 1874. Imagine the hustle and bustle of a growing city. In this dynamic environment, Trinity Episcopal Church was established. The Bishop of Illinois himself approved the organization of this parish. The first church building, completed in 1877, sadly fell victim to a fire in 1899. But from its ashes rose a new church. Just two years later, the core of the Trinity Episcopal Church you see today was standing strong.
The Parish Hall, an integral part of Trinity Episcopal Church, was built later, in 1912. The church continued to evolve with the times. In 1957, the bell tower, the entryway, and a larger worship space were added. This expansion completed the Trinity Episcopal Church as we know it. This was also the time when its exceptional Aeolian-Skinner organ was installed. This three-manual, 47-rank organ is a testament to the church’s commitment to beautiful music and worship.
