Established in 1957 Bushey Meads School originally opened as Bushey Secondary Modern School. It was designed to accommodate 636 pupils. The school’s name Bushey Meads reflects its location. The land was once fields surrounding the village of Bushey. Over the years Bushey Meads School has grown significantly. It now boasts over 1251 students. The school has achieved academy status. It is part of the Bushey St James Trust. This partnership includes Little Reddings Primary School and Hartsbourne Primary School.
