Did this elegant tower always grace the skyline of Stilling? As you stand before Stilling Vandtårn, you might be surprised to learn that its history is relatively recent. Completed in 1908, Stilling Vandtårn served a vital role for the community. Before its construction, access to clean water was a challenge in Stilling. The tower, with its impressive 11-meter height, changed all that. It provided a reliable water supply, holding up to 60 cubic meters of precious water. Today, while no longer in operation, Stilling Vandtårn remains a beloved landmark. Its unique architecture draws the eye. Imagine two cylinders stacked atop one another, the bottom one stretching 5 meters high and the top reaching an additional 6 meters. Atop it all sits a charming breastwork. Be sure to look for the whimsical bird weather vane. Added around 1990, it adds a touch of whimsy to this practical structure. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of Stilling and the picturesque Stilling-Solbjerg Sø.
