“A friendly congregation, nice gentle people.” That’s how one resident described the atmosphere of Windsor Park in Austin. Established in the 1950s, Windsor Park is a diverse community of families and young professionals. It’s a place where people can get to know each other and build a sense of community. But while it’s a place of close-knit neighbors, residents are also passionate about making their community a better place. They created the Windsor Park Neighborhood Association, a crucial voice for residents in the area since 1982. The association has helped to make Windsor Park the charming, vibrant community it is today.
The association actively participates in city planning to voice their community concerns and ensure Windsor Park remains an attractive place. In addition to providing a community voice, they also work hard to make the neighborhood a great place to live and play. They maintain Bartholomew Park and Pomerleau Park, adding amenities like a splash pad.
Windsor Park offers a unique mix of urban and suburban living. It’s close to downtown Austin, but it also has a quiet residential feel. It’s a great place to live for people who want to enjoy the best of both worlds.
