Edinburgh Vineyard

In 2016 God gave Ben and Kate a blueprint for a Vineyard church in Edinburgh. They understood its meaning immediately. Edinburgh Vineyard was born. This wasn’t just another church. It was a vision. A vision of outward focus and inward strength. Ben and Kate wanted a church that served the city. They wanted to do the things Jesus did. They started small. A walk in the Pentlands. Weekly meetings. Worship. Prayer. Bible study. They learned to serve. They began to share their faith. Easter Sunday brought their first public gathering. The Ballroom in Morningside hosted them. Then came Sundays at the Merlin pub. They served at Soul Food washing up and cooking. They chatted with people. They met people’s needs. Their work expanded. They moved to Myreside Rugby club. They partnered with the Bethany Care Van. A fire disrupted their plans. Then came Covid-19. But even a pandemic couldn’t stop Edinburgh Vineyard. They moved online. God stirred their hearts toward Inch and Cameron Toll. Inch Park Community Sports Centre became their new home. They found incredible favor. The trustees supported them wholeheartedly. They shared a deep desire to help the community thrive. They started Toots Cafe. It became King’s Table. Families found community there. They felt less lonely less isolated. The blueprint was coming to life. Amanda the owner of Toots Cafe gifted them the cafe with its toys. The cafe’s reputation was wonderful. Edinburgh Vineyard continues to grow. They serve the city in many ways. They offer small groups Alpha courses and worship circles. They baptize people in the sea. They strive to make disciples. People who speak His words share His wounds follow His ways and do the stuff that changes their world. Edinburgh Vineyard is a testament to faith. A testament to service.
