The school has a nursery for younger children. It provides a happy, safe and stimulating environment. The nursery aims to develop excellent relationships with parents. The nursery also sets up provisions to allow children to develop into confident independent learners.
Did you know St Michael’s had 214 pupils? The school has a capacity for 210. Ms Natasha Scott is the Principal.
St Michael’s also emphasizes the importance of community involvement. Children had the honor of attending the annual Remembrance Day ceremony. This took place at Central Park in East Ham. St Michael’s joined other schools in remembering sacrifices made in wars.
Nursery children visited a fire station. This was part of their “People Who Help Us” topic. They got to sit in fire trucks and see how fire hoses work.
When your child starts at St Michael’s, they begin a new stage. The school builds on early foundations. They prepare children for secondary education. St Michael’s believes the relationship between home school and parish is vital.
St Michael’s closed on May 31 2024. This was due to becoming an academy.
