Before Hitchcock Hall stood here, the land was vacant. In 1967, Embury A. Hitchcock was honored when Hitchcock Hall was dedicated. Embury A. Hitchcock was a professor in 1893. Later he became the Dean of the College of Engineering from 1920 to 1936. The building serves as an extension to the Civil Aeronautical Engineering Building.

Inside Hitchcock Hall you will find classrooms equipped with advanced technology. Room 132, for example, features an audio/video bridge and automated Panopto recorder.
