“A church shouldn’t feel like a museum,” a congregant once remarked, standing right here in front of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. And you know, they had a point. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has always been about growth, change, and serving its community. It all began in 1960, right here in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. The congregation, eager to establish a place of worship, first gathered in a local elementary school. Imagine their excitement as their very own church building was completed in 1961, right on this very spot! But Prince of Peace Lutheran Church wasn’t content with just standing still. The church, much like a growing family, needed more space. Two expansions, one in 1966 and another in 1991, transformed the building into the landmark you see today. And beyond its walls, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has woven itself into the fabric of the community, supporting missions around the world and lending a helping hand to those in need closer to home.
