The CitÉ Internationale Universitaire de Paris is a vibrant hub. It houses 45 residences showcasing diverse architectural styles. Think regionalist classics modern designs and sustainable buildings all in one place.

Five of these houses have earned historical monument status. They stand as testaments to architectural brilliance. The Maison du Brésil designed by Lucio Costa and Le Corbusier. It was fully listed as a historical monument in 2011.

The Fondation des Etats-Unis boasts a grand salon. Its décor also received historical monument status in 2009. Pierre Le Prince-Ringuet designed this foundation. It first opened its doors in 1930.

Fondation Avicenne is another gem. Claude Parent André Bloc Mossem Foroughi and Hedar Cghiain were the masterminds. This building received historical monument status in 2008. This included its grounds and landscaping.

The Collège néerlandais is the only French creation by Willem Marinus Dudok. Inaugurated in 1938 it gained full historical monument status in 2005. The Fondation Émile et Louise Deutsch de la Meurthe designed by Lucien Bechmann. It opened in 1925 and obtained partial historical monument status in 1998. The entire central pavilion has been listed since February 2024.

Le Corbusier also designed the Fondation suisse. It gained full historical monument status in 1986. Special elements designed by Le Corbusier were also protected. This included a mural a bench ten armchairs and other key features.

The CitÉ Internationale isn’t just about buildings. It’s a place of artistic inspiration. Its houses display paintings sculptures and tapestries from the 20th and 21st centuries. Artists from around the world have contributed. Foujita Jacobsen and Perriand are among the celebrated names.

The CitÉ Internationale also boasts a large park. At 34 hectares it is the second-largest park in Paris. Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier and Léon Azéma designed it.
