Imagine Ecuadorian lands touched by divine inspiration. It began 120 years ago. This is the story of the Alliance Panamericana Church.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance’s origins began with A.B. Simpson. His inspirational efforts took root in Ecuador. Men like Guillermo Fritz and Eduardo Tarbox laid the Gospel’s foundation here.

Homero Crisman and Guillermo Reed also contributed. They strengthened the church. Their perseverance helped it grow. In 1945 it became a national church. It embraced its legacy to create shining generations.

Today the Alliance Panamericana Church faces new challenges. As part of Ecuador’s Alliance family it celebrates 120 years. It is grateful for God’s sustaining grace. The church longs for a new society. It knows this requires commitment. They keep their eyes on Jesus.

The Alliance Panamericana Church proclaims Jesus Christ. He is Savior. He is Sanctifier. He is Healer. He is the coming King. They announce this to all nations until His return.

The Alliance World Fellowship includes 6.2 million members. They are spread across 88 countries in 22000 churches.

A.B. Simpson founded two organizations in 1887. These were The Christian Alliance and The Evangelical Missionary Alliance. In 1897 they merged. They formed the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Simpson summarized the Gospel in four aspects. Jesus Christ is Savior. He is Sanctifier. He is Healer. He is Soon Coming King. This is known as the Fourfold Gospel.

The Missionary Training Institute contributed to the Alliance’s development. It later became Alliance Theological Seminary. It is now Alliance University.

The Alliance had a great influence on Pentecostalism. This included evangelical emphasis and Alliance doctrine.

Severe division arose within the Alliance over Pentecostalism. By 1912 it became an organized Christian denomination.

After Simpson’s death in 1919 the C&MA distanced itself from Pentecostalism. By 1965 the churches adopted a denominational function. In 1975 the Alliance World Fellowship was officially organized.

The Alliance has an evangelical theology. It aligns with the Higher Life movement. The Fourfold Gospel is core to its beliefs. It emphasizes missionary work.

CAMA Services is associated with the denomination. It provides relief and development efforts. These offer food clothing and medical care. They also provide job training. CAMA began in 1974.

The Ecuadorian National Institute of Statistics and Census reported in 2012 that approximately 92 percent of the population professes a religious affiliation or belief.

The Alliance Panamericana Church continues its mission today. It stands as a testament to faith. It is a beacon of hope in Quito. Its history is woven into Ecuador’s spiritual landscape. May its light continue to shine brightly.
