Grimhøjmoskeen is associated with Den Muslimske Sammenslutning. The related Fonden for Den muslimske Sammenslutning was established in 2008. Oussama Mohamad El-Saadi chairs this foundation.
Grimhøjmoskeen has attracted media attention several times. TV 2 used hidden cameras to document an imam advising followers. He said they should hit their children from age 10 if the children did not pray to God. This was shown in the program series “Moskeerne bag sløret”. Michael Jeppesen’s documentary “Michael Jeppesen møder Grimhøj-moskéen” features an interview with spokesman Fadi Abdallah.
Oussama El Saadi has stated that parents of gang members chose Grimhøjmoskeen for mediation in a gang conflict. They felt the problems had persisted for too long.
