“Seeing Things” Installation – an intriguing work of art – stands in Federation Square. This installation was an immersive art experience by artist Dan Moynihan, who created large mirrors that allowed visitors to see themselves from a new perspective. These colorful mirrors reflected the world around you in a way that was both beautiful and thought-provoking. The artist wanted to challenge the way we look at ourselves and the world around us. Each installation comprised four large rectangle forms set parallel to one another, creating a cube-like structure. Each form had a hole large enough for visitors to stand, sit, or lay inside. The holes were lined with vibrant colored mirrors, either red, yellow, or orange. “Seeing Things” was designed to be an engaging and social experience where visitors could share their perspectives and reactions to the installation. It was a unique and innovative way to explore the nature of perception and reality, prompting visitors to engage with the world in a new way.
