Did you ever imagine a high school with a history as rich as its academics? Creekview High School, right here in Carrollton, Texas, isn’t just a school. It’s a breeding ground for champions, on and off the field. Opening its doors in 1998, Creekview High School began with just two grades, welcoming its first graduating class in 2001. Creekview High School quickly blossomed, adding more grades and becoming a pillar of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. Creekview High School proudly serves parts of Carrollton and even stretches into Dallas city limits. The school motto, “Offer the best…Expect the best…Be the best,” resonates not only in the classrooms but also on the playing fields. Creekview High School Mustangs compete in a wide array of sports, from baseball and basketball to wrestling and volleyball. The girls’ soccer team clinched the 5A state championship in 2004, a testament to their dedication and skill. The golf team also boasts an impressive history. In 2008, the girls’ team dominated their district tournament, winning by a staggering 40 strokes. The school’s athletic prowess extends to the NFL. Creekview High School alumnus Travis Wilson, class of 2002, was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2006. Ryan Russell, another Mustang, has played for both the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills. And David Blough, class of 2013, led the Purdue Boilermakers as their quarterback before joining the Arizona Cardinals. But Creekview High School isn’t just about sports. Academics are equally important. The school has a robust academic program, pushing students to achieve their full potential. And who could forget Taylor Teagarden, class of 2002, drafted by the Texas Rangers after winning the 2005 College World Series with the University of Texas? His mother, Penny Teagarden, was a counselor at Creekview High School. Creekview High School is more than bricks and mortar. It’s a community, a place where students discover their passions, forge friendships, and prepare for a bright future. It’s a place where Mustangs become champions.
