Perhaps you’re seeking a haven of tranquility. Masjid Manarul Amal offers that peace. This Jakarta mosque stands as a testament to faith and community. It was built in the year 2000. Masjid Manarul Amal is categorized as a public mosque.
The mosque is located on JL. Meruya Selatan RT.001/08 in West Jakarta. Specifically, it is in Kembangan. The land spans 840 square meters. The building itself covers 1,500 square meters. The land has a SHM status which means that it has a freehold title.
Imagine the call to prayer echoing through the neighborhood. Between 100 and 150 people gather here regularly. Twenty-five muezzins ensure the call to prayer is heard. Seven khotibs deliver sermons. Twelve young people are actively involved in the mosque’s activities.

Masjid Manarul Amal hasn’t uploaded any news articles or reviews. However, its significance extends beyond these online metrics. A study highlighted the mosque’s universal design application. The study took place at the Meruya campus of Mercu Buana University.
Researchers aimed to make the mosque accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. The principle of universal design seeks to reduce physical barriers. The research used a qualitative descriptive method. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used. These were based on guidelines from the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation No. 14/PRT/M/2017.
The study revealed some areas needing improvement. Interior elements like circulation and guide paths needed upgrades. Ramps, prayer rooms, and ablution areas required adjustments. Storage for footwear and supporting facilities needed standardization. Walls lacked handrails. Lighting and color met standards. Audio-visual aids around the prayer area lacked TV text and visual alarms.
Despite these challenges, the spirit of Masjid Manarul Amal shines. It represents an ongoing effort to create an inclusive space. It is where faith and community converge in Jakarta Barat. The mosque strives to be a welcoming space for all.
