It carries a legacy much heavier, much more profound than its years. You see, in 2003, this school was given a tremendous honor, a new name. It became Liceo 53 Raúl Wallenberg, a tribute to the Swedish diplomat who risked everything to save thousands from the clutches of the Holocaust. Wallenberg, a name whispered with reverence and gratitude, a man who defied darkness with courage and compassion, found a home for his legacy here, in the heart of this school. Today, Liceo 53 Raúl Wallenberg buzzes with the energy of almost 900 students, spread across two shifts, their laughter echoing Wallenberg’s spirit of resilience and hope.
