Built in 1968 Professor Ostenfeld Kollegiet stands proudly. It’s a testament to Professor Asger Ostenfeld’s legacy. His 102nd birthday inspired its creation. The college is a haven for students. Especially those studying at the nearby DTU.

Professor Ostenfeld Kollegiet is more than just a dormitory. It’s a community. Two large blocks are connected by a glass walkway. Inside are 276 single rooms and 12 double rooms. Eighteen shared kitchens provide a social hub. Every room boasts a private bathroom and toilet.

Funding came from the Knud Højgaards Fond. A generous 1.5 million kroner ensured the project’s success. The goal was simple. Provide affordable housing for students. Professor Ostenfeld Kollegiet succeeded. It became the third in a series of engineering colleges. Built by the Polyteknisk KollegieByggeselskab. Now known as the Polyteknisk KollegieSelskab.

Today Professor Ostenfeld Kollegiet continues its mission. Providing housing close to DTU. It’s a short distance from Dyrehaven. Across the Helsingørmotorvejen highway. More than just bricks and mortar Professor Ostenfeld Kollegiet is a symbol of support. A place where students can focus on their studies. In comfortable surroundings. A vibrant community thrives within its walls. It’s a legacy that lives on. Professor Ostenfeld would be proud.
