Established on January 4 1999 Compassvale Primary School initially found a temporary home within Sengkang Primary School. This wasn’t a permanent solution though. The school’s journey continued with a second temporary location at Rivervale Primary School. Construction of its own building was underway. Finally on November 13 2000 Compassvale Primary School moved into its current location. The official opening was October 21 2001. This marked a significant milestone for the school and the Sengkang community.
Compassvale Primary School wasn’t just building classrooms. It was building a future. In 2006 the school hosted the Ministry of Education Excel Fest. A remarkable achievement followed in 2007. It became a Centre of Excellence for English. Its dedication to learning continued. The school celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2008. It embraced innovative learning programs including the Learning for Life Programme for Aesthetics. Robotics also found a place in its Applied Learning Programme.
A significant upgrade to the school building was completed in December 2012. Since January 2013 Compassvale Primary has operated on a single-session schedule. This allowed for more focused learning and enhanced facilities. The school continued to thrive. In 2019 it celebrated its 20th anniversary. It remains a cornerstone of the Sengkang community.
The school’s motto Share Strive Succeed reflects its values. Its crest is a symbol of holistic growth. Concentric rings represent individual family and society. The compass design guides students on their life journey. The gold-tipped needle points northeast representing the school’s location in Singapore.
The school song reinforces the school’s commitment to education and community. Its lyrics celebrate unity learning and compassion. Compassvale Primary School’s history is a testament to its dedication to excellence. It has served generations of students and continues to shape their future.
