The Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company has invested in Indonesia. They acquired two major blocks in 2024. These are in South Sumatra and Sulawesi.

Indonesia and the Gulf Cooperation Council are working together. They plan to create a free trade agreement. This will increase trade between the countries.

The Kuwaiti government provides scholarships for Indonesian students. Two students can study at Kuwait University each year.

More than 5000 Indonesians live in Kuwait. They work in health oil gas and manufacturing.
