Opened in 1926, the Fukuoka Dōshin Hospital has a rich history. It started as the Kumamoto Dōshin Clinic’s Fukuoka branch. The Fukuoka Dōshin Hospital building stands as a testament to its enduring presence. It eventually evolved into the Fukuoka Central Hospital in 2019. Originally, the hospital was located in a newly opened area of Fukuoka City. Later, in 1951, it moved to its current location in Yakuen, Chuo Ward. A few years later, the entire hospital shifted from ōmuta City to Yakuen. Throughout its existence, the Fukuoka Dōshin Hospital has consistently served the community. The hospital offers a range of medical services. These include internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and otorhinolaryngology. The hospital also boasts 192 beds, 147 for general patients and 45 for recuperation. This underscores its capacity to care for a diverse range of medical needs. Even after its transformation into Fukuoka Central Hospital, the commitment to community care remains. The hospital continues to evolve, expanding its medical staff and facilities. It collaborates closely with other medical institutions in the area, ensuring seamless medical service.
