Seletar Bus Depot sits near Yio Chu Kang. It is bordered by Yio Chu Kang Crescent, the Seletar Expressway, and the Sungei Seletar Simpang Kiri canal. This depot is currently run by SBS Transit. Seletar Bus Depot can hold 525 buses. It has everything needed for daily bus operations. There are areas for repair, maintenance, and parking. Offices, a driver rest area, and a canteen are also included. Yio Chu Kang Crescent was built to connect the depot to Yio Chu Kang Road and Lentor Avenue. Tiong Seng Contractors built Seletar Bus Depot. The construction cost about $72.9 million. The depot spans 96,000 square meters. It also recycles about 80% of the water.

Back in December 2016, SBS Transit used the bus park for overnight parking. This helped ease congestion at the Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot. The main depot building was made of shipping container offices under a metal shelter.

On January 27, 2018, Seletar Bus Depot officially opened. Mr. Khaw Boon Wan. He was the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for Transport.

In 2018, SMRT Buses also used parking space at Seletar Bus Depot. This gave them extra space near Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot. However, SMRT Buses ended their tenancy in December 2024. In preparation for the Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot closure, several bus services moved to Seletar Bus Depot in December 2024.

Inside Seletar Bus Depot, the ground floor has parking for 525 buses. There are also bays for repairs, maintenance, washing, and refueling. The depot offices and operations facilities are on the second floor. This includes the Bus Operations Control Centre and NTWU Office.

Crew can relax on the second floor. There is a recreation room, gym, and rest rooms. The NTWU Canteen sells food and drinks. TVs show staff notices. Tables have power sockets and USB charging ports.

Seletar Bus Depot also supports electric buses. Ten 150 kW charging systems charge twenty BYD K9 buses overnight. These buses were part of a 2018 LTA procurement.

Seletar Bus Depot is more than just a building. It is a key part of Singapore’s commitment to efficient and sustainable public transport. From its green roof to its advanced charging infrastructure, this depot represents the future of bus operations in Singapore.
