Dominican whispers followed me to the Rózsa­füzér Király­néja templom. This grand church, also known as the Queen of the Rosary Church, stands as a testament to faith and resilience. Rózsa­füzér Király­néja templom’s story began modestly. In 1905, the Dominican Order opened a small chapel here on Thököly út. The chapel quickly became a spiritual hub. Between 1912 and 1915, the Dominicans built the present Rózsa­füzér Király­néja templom. Architect Ferenc Paulheim brought Antal Hofhauser’s vision to life. Archbishop János Csernoch consecrated the church on October 3, 1915, establishing it as a national sanctuary for the rosary prayer. The Dominicans served Rózsa­füzér Király­néja templom until 1951. Then, diocesan priests took over until 1989. The Dominicans returned briefly until 2007, after which diocesan priests resumed their service. Tragedy struck Rózsa­füzér Király­néja templom in 1997. A devastating fire ravaged the building and its contents, including the organ. Renovations began in 2008, focusing on the interior. The stained glass windows were also restored, bringing back their vibrant beauty to Rózsa­füzér Király­néja templom.
