From a modest preparatory school for boys, Dwight School London has blossomed into a vibrant hub of international education. Established in 1885 as Holmewood Boys’ preparatory school in North Finchley, Dwight School London has undergone a series of transformations. In 1985, the Dwight Franklin Foundation, connected to Dwight School in New York, acquired Holmewood. This marked a significant shift, setting the stage for the school’s international future. A merger with St Alban’s School in 1988 brought co-education and a new name: Woodside Park Preparatory School. Further evolution occurred in 1995, with consolidation alongside Friern Barnet Grammar School for Boys. This created Woodside Park School, later known as Woodside Park International School, catering to students aged 4 to 18. Dwight School London embraced the International Baccalaureate programme, achieving accreditation for the Diploma Programme in 1995, the Middle Years Programme in 2003, and the Primary Years Programme in 2004. This solidified its position as a leading provider of comprehensive IB education. In 2006, Dwight School London became a limited company. After a period as North London International School, the school reclaimed the name Dwight School London in 2012, reaffirming its connection to the global Dwight family. Today, Dwight School London stands as a testament to its rich history. It continues to provide a world-class education, nurturing inquiring minds and preparing students for a bright future. The school offers the full International Baccalaureate program, further establishing its commitment to international education. Dwight School London is much more than just a school. It’s a community of learners, where every student is encouraged to ignite their spark of genius.
