Rising majestically above Bremen’s cityscape the Wesertower stands tall. Its glass facade gleams reflecting the Weser River. This is more than just a building. It’s a testament to Bremen’s modern ambition.

Designed by the renowned architect Helmut Jahn the Wesertower was completed in 2010. The original plans were ambitious. They included a hotel a variety theatre and several restaurants. Sadly those plans never fully materialized. Today a single restaurant graces the ground floor. The building’s 22 floors house offices primarily occupied by subsidiaries of the EWE AG energy company.

Construction wasn’t without its challenges. Technical disagreements and cost overruns caused significant delays. In fact the general contractor Hochtief was ultimately dismissed by Siedentopf GmbH the project’s developer. Siedentopf then took over managing the completion of the Wesertower.

The Wesertower isn’t just functional. It’s a work of art. Its exterior is illuminated by an eye-catching LED installation. Created by the lighting artist Yann Kersalé this dynamic display mimics the ripples of the nearby Weser River. This modern marvel stands as a symbol of Bremen’s forward-thinking spirit.

The Siedentopf GmbH invested approximately 70 million euros in this project. The Wesertower is Bremen’s tallest office building. It boasts 18000 square meters of office space. This is enough room for about 800 employees.

Explore the Wesertower. Feel the city’s pulse from its unique perspective. Marvel at the innovative design and the views of Bremen’s historic charm.
