“We have a new pastor…” The words on the sign in front of the House of Refuge Full Gospel Church in Dallas are a warm and inviting welcome as you approach. This church, founded years ago, is a testament to the unwavering faith of the community. Pastor Eddie Hounshell, Sr. is at the helm now, carrying the torch of hope and love forward.
Before joining the church family, Pastor Eddie spent a quarter century serving the people of Newport. He and his wife, Kristi, had dedicated their lives to spreading God’s message. Yet, they felt constrained by the limitations of their old church. With a yearning for a larger and better facility, they prayed for the opportunity to do more of God’s work.
The Eastgate area offered that chance. Full Gospel House of Refuge, with its welcoming open arms, became their new home. Pastor Eddie’s vision is to create a church where the entire family can flourish, with activities for all ages. He wants to build a powerhouse for God, a place where the spirit of community radiates.
You are cordially welcomed to join the congregation for Bible Study at 10:00 am and Church Service at 11:00 am. The doors are open to everyone seeking a spiritual home, a place to find solace and connect with a community of shared faith.
