In 1905, a small group embarked on a journey of faith. This group, members of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas and residents of East Dallas, petitioned the Dallas Presbytery. Their request? To establish the “East Dallas Presbyterian Church.” Now, let’s fast forward to today, as we stand before Northridge Presbyterian Church. Northridge Presbyterian Church has witnessed a rich history spanning over a century. The church has seen three different locations, five buildings, and fifteen pastors. Thousands of members have called Northridge their spiritual home. For over 50 years, Northridge Presbyterian Church has stood in the heart of Lakewood. This location is where the church adopted its current name. The church has navigated both calm and turbulent times. Throughout it all, Northridge Presbyterian Church has remained committed to its core values: mission and community. Look closely at the rear of the sanctuary. You’ll see the inscription above the exit doors: “Go out into God’s world in peace.” This message encapsulates the church’s mission, inspiring its members to live their faith every day.
