But how did Iglesia Restauracion Elim begin? The story starts in Houston Texas in 1997. A group of about five families wanted a personalized worship experience. These families had connections to Iglesia Elim in El Salvador. Pastor Saul Valle advised them to seek help. He suggested they contact the Elim mission in North America.
In 1998 Pastor Rene Molina traveled to Houston. He set a date to send someone to lead the work. That August David Lopez arrived from Los Angeles. He officially established the church in Houston. The first cell groups started in homes. There were only five family meetings at first. In November they launched a radio program. It was called “The Voice of Restoration”.
Today Iglesia Restauracion in Houston serves over 1000 people. They offer specialized ministries for children youth and adults. They also provide leadership training. This ensures the work of God is done effectively.
Due to the growth in Houston they decided to expand. In 2002 they started work in Austin. Later they expanded to Dallas Greeley Colorado and San Antonio Texas.
