In 1996, Normanhurst School joined the Oak-Tree Group. This group includes Braeside School, Oaklands School, and Coopersale Hall School. The Hagger Family owns these schools.

Normanhurst School is a co-ed independent school. It welcomes children aged 2 to 16. The school has nine-year groups. These range from Lower Kindergarten to Year 11.

The Oak-Tree Group schools are close to each other. They are all within a six-mile radius. They are located on the South West Essex/North London borders.
