Beyond these doors is not just a building. It is a community. It’s Journey Church. Here at Journey Church, people follow the way of Jesus. They learn to be present in every moment.
Journey Church began in 2017. It started in Mesquite, TX. In 2022, Journey Church moved back into Dallas. From the start, Journey Church has helped those around them. They do this without expecting anything in return. They use their skills and resources to help the community. This includes volunteering and fun activities.
Journey Church believes everyone is made in God’s image. They should be loved. They are called to be present with God and each other. The kingdom of God is here and growing around us. Every act of kindness shows this kingdom. Following Jesus leads to a full life. The church values prayer. It encourages people to trust Jesus above all else.
The mission of Journey Church is clear. It follows Jesus’ great commission. They make disciples of all nations. They baptize them. They teach them to obey Jesus’ commands.
Journey Church wants to bless those around them. This is a core value. They use their abilities and resources to do so.
Several people lead and guide Journey Church. Jonathan Odom is the Lead Pastor. He loves to read and run. Jeremy England is the Executive Pastor. He enjoys exploring the area. Carly Dewese is the Family Pastor. She loves Italian food and baking. Haley Jordan cares for the nursery and toddlers. David Dewese leads the music. He makes it easy to worship.
Journey Church hosts services in person and online. The in-person gathering is on Sundays at 11:00 AM CST. It is in the Casa View Neighborhood in East Dallas. The online gathering is on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM CST.
Journey Church offers Journey Jr for kids. It helps the next generation love God. They also learn to love their neighbor. This is done through activities and crafts. Volunteers treat the kids like their own.
Journey Church partners with people who love Dallas. These partners help them be the church in Dallas.
