In 1972, he purchased a property in Greenwich as a gift to the Spanish government. This marked the initial step towards his dream. However, the location wasn’t ideal. The school needed space to breathe, to grow. That’s how, in 1982, Instituto Español Vicente Cañada Blanch found its home here on Portobello Road. The building itself has a history, having previously served as St Joseph’s Convent. Today, it’s a vibrant hub of learning. The school welcomes students aged 3 to 19, offering a Spanish curriculum that’s accredited by the Ministry of Education.
