Driven by population growth in Takanini, Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School was created to meet the needs of Catholic families. Projections showed a rapid increase in school-aged children. The school was built to provide Catholic education.
Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School operates in partnership with St Mary’s Parish in Papakura. It also works with St Anne’s Parish. The school’s primary goal is to create an environment where children can encounter the living God.

Initially, Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School was designed for 250 students. When it opened it had only 63 students. But now the roll has grown as the housing developments in the Takanini area have progressed.
