The Buddhist Union Dharma Centre was built in 2000. It serves as a beacon of the Buddha-Dharma. The very logo of The Buddhist Union Dharma Centre tells a story. Two concentric circles symbolize Samara, the cycle of birth and death. A lotus flower emerges from these circles. It represents the Buddha Mind, rising from the mire, untouched. This symbolizes purity, integrity, and the virtues of a fully enlightened Buddha. The outer band signifies the all-encompassing compassion and wisdom of the Buddhist teachings. It also represents the unity of humanity through the practice of the Four Noble Truths. The Buddhist Union Dharma Centre uses both English and Chinese in its logo. This reflects their mission to propagate the Buddha-Dharma bilingually. Every Sunday, the center comes alive with the sounds of chanting and reflection during their Sunday service.
