A century’s worth of stories reside within these walls. This is the Bromley United Services Club. Look closely. Can you imagine the soldiers who first walked these halls?

In the early 1900s this building was a school. Imagine children’s laughter echoing where now you hear the clink of glasses. The outbreak of World War I changed everything. The Ministry of Defence bought the building. It became a hospital for wounded soldiers.

After the war ended in 1918 the hospital was no longer needed. The building was sold. The NAAFI formed the United Services Club. It offered returning soldiers a place to meet and socialize. This made the club over 100 years old.

King George VI himself a future king visited the club in 1920. He was one of its first members. The club has remained a beloved part of the community. Today anyone can become a member. Military service is not required. Most members haven’t served.

The Bromley United Services Club is more than just a club. It’s a community hub. It offers live entertainment. Bingo and raffles are held regularly. There’s something for everyone.

Members organize charity events. They raise money for worthy causes. This includes the Poppy Appeal breast and prostate cancer research Alzheimer’s and Macmillan Cancer Support. The club has two function halls. Each hall has its own fully stocked bar.

A dartboard and pool table are available. A short mat bowls club meets Wednesdays. The halls can be rented for private events. Dance classes are regularly held. So step inside. Discover the warmth of the Bromley United Services Club. It welcomes you.
