This church has a vibrant and rich history, a story that began in 1980 with the vision of a spry young pastor named Bill Bohline. He knocked on doors, inviting families to join him and build a lively, Jesus-centered church.
Bohline’s vision ignited a spark of excitement in the community. People were drawn to his message and the church grew rapidly as the surrounding landscape changed from cornfields to suburban homes. Hosanna Church became known for its solid biblical teaching, energetic worship, and commitment to serving not just the community, but also global ministry partners in Ethiopia, India, and Haiti.
The church’s growth continued, with new campuses opening in Rosemount and Northfield in 2019. The original campus in Burnsville, though, remains its heart, a testament to its humble beginnings and the enduring spirit of its community. This is where the church found its roots, where the first services were held in a converted elementary school gym and where the dream of a church dedicated to faith, community, and global service first took shape.
