Masjid Baitussalam LDII stands here in Bekasi Selatan, Kota Bekasi, as a testament to faith and community. In September 2024, the mosque hosted the Ikhtibar Tahfidz Al-Quran. This event, organized by the Pimpinan Anak Cabang (PAC) Lembaga Dakwah Islam Indonesia (LDII), the Yayasan Masjid Baitussalam, and Penggerak Pembina Generus (PPG), tested the Quranic recitation skills of 50 students. The participants, ranging from elementary to high school age, demonstrated their dedication to memorizing and understanding the holy book. H. Martono, the event organizer, emphasized the importance of not just memorization, but also applying the Quran’s teachings in daily life. This annual event serves as an evaluation of the youth’s progress and a celebration of their commitment to faith. The Ikhtibar showcased the power of community support, with attendees including LDII advisors, the Yayasan Baitussalam chairman, and religious leaders. H. Ali Masro, an LDII advisor, praised the event, emphasizing its alignment with government programs to cultivate a generation of strong moral character. He stressed the importance of parental involvement in nurturing this development. The chairman of Yayasan Baitussalam, H. Indra Purna Wulandoro, highlighted the event’s role in developing well-rounded individuals equipped with the knowledge and values of the Quran. Masjid Baitussalam LDII doesn’t just serve as a place of worship. It’s a hub for community development, fostering a generation rooted in faith and prepared for the future.
