Legend says Pangeran Kuningan built Masjid Al Mubarokah. It is believed to have been erected when he came to Jakarta. His mission was to drive out the Portuguese colonizers. Historical records suggest the mosque’s initial construction dates back to 1527. Pangeran Adipati Awangga, also known as Syekh Arkanuddin, led the build.
