Right here stands Soundview School a place where education meets innovation. Established in 1996, Soundview School was founded by Inae Piercy. She wanted to provide education for her son and other children. The previous school, The Stein School, had closed. Ms. Piercy rebuilt a new school with a new campus.

Soundview School sits on a 3+ acre campus in Lynnwood. It is located just north of Edmonds Community College. Soundview serves children from preschool through 8th grade. Today, Chris Watson is the Head of School.

Let’s take a quick look at the school’s history. In 1997, the lower school campus was developed. In 1998, the Performing Arts Center was built. It became the school’s centerpiece for art and music. In 2002, Soundview School became a nonprofit independent school. This encouraged community support. In 2007, Soundview School adopted the International Baccalaureate curriculum. It is a world-recognized standard in education. By 2009, the Middle School was authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School.
