Once upon a time, in 1981, a seed of faith was planted here in Makati. That seed grew into what we now know as Makati Gospel Church. It started with a simple mission. The mission was to minister to the Chinese community. Makati was then and is still the business center of the Philippines.
Today, Makati Gospel Church reaches many people. It reaches Chinese-Filipinos. It also reaches other communities. Finally, it seeks to reach all people of the world. The church’s mission is the Great Commission. From its humble start, Makati Gospel Church became multi-lingual. It also became multi-cultural.
The church holds three worship services. These cater to Amoy-speaking people. There are also services for Mandarin and English speakers. Makati Gospel Church also reaches out to the Filipino-speaking community nearby.
The church wants its heart to beat like its Master’s. It aims to make disciples of all nations. The church believes small groups are effective for disciple-making. Its vision is to see lives transformed. This happens through knowing Christ. It also happens through connecting with believers. Finally, it happens through making disciples.
Makati Gospel Church has a clear statement of faith. The Bible is the sole basis of its beliefs. It believes in one true God. This God exists in three persons. They are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The church believes Jesus Christ is both God and man. He lived a sinless life. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven.
The church believes man was created in God’s image. Man sinned and became corrupted. Salvation is a free gift from God. It is not earned through good works. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ. He applies Christ’s saving work to people. Jesus Christ will come again. He will fulfill God’s eternal plan.
Makati Gospel Church has many ministries. There is a prayer ministry. There is also a curriculum ministry. A media ministry exists. The church also has a worship ministry. A community life ministry is present. An evangelism ministry helps spread the word. A missions and outreach ministry connects with partners. The church features a social responsibility ministry. A data ministry collects information. A technical ministry offers support. An admin ministry provides structure. A finance ministry manages funds.

One Eighty serves young professionals. M plus M supports couples. Evergreen Fellowship is for older adults. A women’s fellowship also exists.
