A century of faith. That’s what this building represents. This is the Asamblea de Dios. Right here on Sargento Cabral Street.

The Asamblea de Dios in Buenos Aires isn’t just a church. It’s a living testament to unwavering faith. It’s a story of resilience. A story woven with threads of international mission and local growth.

The first seeds of faith were sown over a hundred years ago. Thirteen members from seven different countries. Swedes Portuguese Canadians Armenians Spaniards Bulgarians and Argentinians. They gathered in a simple Portuguese home. Their shared faith blossomed. Their numbers grew.

Soon they needed more space. In 1927 they moved to Concordia Street. A small temple was built. The Pentecostal movement expanded rapidly. More missionaries arrived. They spread the word across Argentina.

By 1950 the Asamblea de Dios had 1300 members. The missionaries passed the torch. Argentinian pastors took the lead. Pastor Pascual Crudo guided the church through a period of significant growth. Theological training became a priority.

In 1952 a new chapter began. A larger temple was inaugurated on Avenida Juan B Alberdi. This became the largest evangelical temple in Buenos Aires. It was a hub of activity. Over 500 churches across Argentina stemmed from this single location. The Asamblea de Dios truly became a national denomination.

Today the Asamblea de Dios continues to thrive. It’s a vibrant community. It’s a place where people find solace and strength. It’s a beacon of hope in the heart of Buenos Aires. It’s a place where the echoes of a century of faith resonate strongly. The legacy continues. The spirit of the original thirteen members lives on.
