This wasn’t a grand project with vast resources. It started with just eleven families who felt a calling for something more. Their spiritual needs weren’t met. They longed for a dynamic and progressive expression of their Pentecostal faith. So they took a leap of faith. They started meeting, not in a grand cathedral, but in the intimacy of their own homes. They worshipped. They prayed. They looked to God to guide their next steps. This went on for weeks, their faith growing stronger with each gathering. Eventually, their congregation grew, spilling from the confines of homes into rented spaces. They held services in local hotels, never losing sight of their vision. Their dedication finally paid off. In 2005, Calvary Pentecostal Church found a more permanent home in Farmers Branch. This was a significant step, marking their growth from a humble gathering to a recognized presence in the community. Their journey didn’t end there. In 2011, Calvary Pentecostal Church moved to its current location here in Richardson. It’s a testament to their perseverance, their commitment to creating a space where their faith could flourish.
