Standing at the corner of 104th Street and Halsted Street in Chicago, Messiah Baptist Church is more than just a building, it’s a testament to faith and resilience. Messiah Baptist Church moved to Broadview, Illinois, in 1959, but in 1965, it found its way back to Chicago, settling at 7219 S. Racine. After another move to 10243 S. Wallace, the church finally arrived at its current location on Halsted Street. Over the years, Messiah Baptist Church continued to grow. It’s now a vibrant community with over 1,000 members. The church has gone through many changes. From humble beginnings to a sprawling complex with ample classroom space, a dining hall, and a nurse’s station, this church has witnessed remarkable growth. This church may be big now, but it remembers its roots. It continues to serve the community, spreading the message of hope and love.
