Journey back to 2022 at the Türk-Alman Üniversitesi Araştırma Laboratuvarları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (ALUAM). Imagine the whirring of machinery and the sparks of innovation. The Araştırma Laboratuvarları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi, nestled within the university, buzzed with activity. Engineering students diligently participated in their fundamental mechanical and electrical internships. The air was thick with anticipation. These students weren’t just learning theory. They were getting hands-on experience, guided by expert instructors within the ALUAM workshops. The Araştırma Laboratuvarları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi wasn’t just a building. It was a launchpad for future engineers. This same year, the ALUAM also extended its reach beyond the student body. It offered specialized training in CNC Programming. This course, taught face-to-face by university faculty through TAÜ-SEM, attracted professionals eager to enhance their skills. The Araştırma Laboratuvarları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi became a hub for knowledge sharing and advancement in this critical field. The ALUAM even welcomed guests from the industry. They hosted representatives from TURCAR, a leading cutting tool company, who had recently installed a surface grinding machine in the mechanical laboratory. This visit solidified the Araştırma Laboratuvarları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi’s connection to the real-world applications of the knowledge being generated within its walls. The ALUAM’s commitment to providing practical, industry-relevant training continued throughout the year. Another seminar focused on “industry expectations from engineers,” further equipping students with the insights needed to succeed in their future careers. The Araştırma Laboratuvarları Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi played a vital role in shaping the future of engineering at Türk-Alman Üniversitesi.
