Across Paseo de la Reforma, vibrant spheres catch the eye. These aren’t just any spheres. These are the Balls Sculptures of Mexico City. In 2016, sixty-four of these painted soccer ball sculptures dotted the avenue as part of the “Expo Balon.” Each ball, a concrete canvas, transformed the bustling street into an open-air art gallery. The Balls Sculptures weren’t meant to be permanent fixtures. They were a temporary exhibit, a burst of color and creativity against the backdrop of the city.
